Monthly tournament

The first tournament of 2008 was one of the most exciting ones ever.

After four games, there were still six players with a chance to win. Rob, Kerstin and Simon shared the lead and Alan, Dean and Ingrid were only a few points behind. Alan played against Simon and Ingrid in the last round, and his team won by 21-14. On the other court, Dean played against Kerstin and Rob. Dean's team won by 21-10, the biggest margin of the night. All this meant that Dean took the victory by one point from Alan.

Ahmed also had a great tournament. Like Dean and Alan, he won four of his five games. Unfortunately, his one loss was quite a heavy one, which left him in sixth place. It wasn't a great night for Lucie and Julia. They only won one of their games, only leaving debutant Karzan behind them.

There were no big changes in the overall standings. Neil is still in the lead, but he didn't manage to put some distance between himself and the chasing pack. That being said, nobody in the chasing pack managed to peg him back. Gabriele played only two games, but he was part of the team that lost 21-10 in the last round. Last year's winner finds himself now in 12th position. He is not without a chance though, as we are only half way through the season.
