We put together a great Team for this fixture & both teams had a great Coach… Marc !! We coasted along to an easy victory.

The first outing for our girls team was an immediate success. Four wins out of four made them overall winners of the EVL tournament in Norwich.

A mixed team of the Ipswich Volleyball Club recovered from a mediocre Saturday to win all their games on Sunday and walk away with the Division 2 title at the annual Cambridge tournament, while Lucy and Marta reached the semi-finals of the two-a-side competition.

Ipswich Moles finished the 2005-06 season with a 3-1 win against the Slammers in an end of season clash with no meaning for either team.

Ipswich Moles continued their good form of late beating Orwell 3-0 in a good natured encounter at Maidenhall Sports Center (25-12, 25-10, 25-22)

Lightening struck twice this week, when the Sharks and ACE played out a Suffolk Plate Semi-Final and also ran out of time. The match finished at 2-2 with the Sharks 13-3 in front in the 5th set. The match will be replayed.

A cracking volleyball match was brought to an abrupt end as Newmarket and Ipswich Moles ran out of time in this Suffolk Cup semi-final with the score 2-2 in sets and Newmarket leading 15-14 in the fifth set.

Ipswich were consigned to another year in Division Three after losing to Reading University and Newcastle City in the NVL Div two playoffs. Newcastle won both their matches and face Sheffield in a deciding playoff match for a place in Div two next season.

This years Lowestoft Beach Volleyball tournament is to be held on Saturday 8th July 2006 at Lowestoft South Beach.

Ipswich host a top of the table triangle fixture with Brentwood Estonians and Cambridge 2 visiting Maidenhall Sports Centre on Sunday 8th January.

VladaJohnSki made up of Russian Alexi (Vlada), English Chris Watson and Rob Hughes (John) and Polish Eva (Ski) won seven out eight of their matches to win the inaugural Ipswich Volleyball Christmas Tournament.

An amazing run of serving by Dutchman Marc Wennink, including 3 aces, helped the Moles overcome an erratic performance to beat Orwell 3-1 (23-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-19)

Ipswich stay second in the NVL Divison 3 East winning both their matches against Tendring and Stowmarket Ipswich 3 - Tendring 0 (25-21,25-21,25-15) Ipswich 3 - Stowmarket 1 (22-25,25-18,25-14,25-22)

Ipswich have been drawn away to RAF Sentinels in the 1st Round of the EVA Shield. The Sentinels play in the NVL Division three north.

The Hawks progressed in the SVA handicap cup by beating Bury St Edmunds TIAB 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-22) but the Sharks lost against Cup holders Newmarket 3-0 (25-15, 28-26, 27-25).

Ipswich lost 3-1 to Compass Leicester in a close match. (27-25, 22-25, 23-25,23-25)

The Moles won an important match in their annual fight against relegation, beating the Slammers 3-0 at St Joseph's College. (25-18, 27-25, 25-20)

The Moles made a big step in securing their Suffolk division one status with a 3-1 (25-19, 25:27, 25-17, 25-13) victory over Orwell last night.

On Saturday 21st Jan 2005 Ipswich Volleyball Club played in Round 3 of EVA Competition at Norwich UEA.

Ipswich moved up to fourth place in the National League division three east with a win against East Hants on Sunday.

Ipswich secured maximum points by beating Dartford 3-0 and Ashcombe 3-2 in the last NVL weekend of the year. This moves the team up to sixth place level on points with Brentwood Partners.

The Sharks won their first match of the season in a close encounter with ACE.

The Last training session before Christmas is Wednesday 15th December. The sports hall floor is being resurfaced on 22nd December. The first session back in the new year is Wednesday 5th January 2005.

For the third year running, the Ipswich Falcons have won the Lowestoft Beach Volleyball tournament. In the final, the Falcons (Ben Child, Gabriele Corliano, and Chris Watson) beat the Ipswich Sharks (Laurent Duchesne, Marc Wennink, and Lucy Wright) convincingly: 15-5 and 15-5.
